Currently writing, but my paper centers around the nature of desires, their objects, and the impacts of social factors. It will contain:

• Discussion of action-based theories, pleasure-based theories, good-based theories, and more, and why these theories fail to accurately describe desires
• An explanation of the negative theory
• How the negative theory can explain desires that fulfill us, and ones that don’t (“wellbeing” desires vs “structural” desires)
• Why desires are asocial phenomena, yet their objects can be socially manipulated
• How social manipulation impacts our lives and characters
